Greetings my fellow Sith. I am contacting you to report on the recent campaign at Conglomeration 2011 in Louisville Kentucky. This year the con was held in a new location and I must say the hotel was very nice. The Dark Empire participated in a Meet the Star Wars Fan Groups panel along with The Rebel Legion, 501st Legion and Mando Mercs. Unfortunately I did not bring my voice recorder to the panel which is a shame because it turned out to be a good one. The comradery between the groups present was awesome and everyone brought up great topics and worked together talking about each of them in turn. Many interested parties came by our table and there was even a Klingon band that sang the Ewok "Yub Nub" song from ROTJ! It rained all day but nevertheless fun was had by all. Can't wait till next year! Holoimages will be posted as soon as I get them uploaded. Until then enjoy the videos below. Excuse my verbal flub at the end of the first one. I had little sleep the night before and was groggy from the allergy meds. Connooga was so awesome that I am STILL talking about it!

Wonderful!!! I love seeing a good table, and fun and camaraderie all in one place. Looks like you all had a blast! The table reminds me very much of the one we had at ConNooga (hence the mixup there - eh, Nocturny Guy?)

Hey JonSolo if you wanna make the trip to Louisville the better con to come down here for is in July. Fandom Fest/Fright Night Film Fest!! The original Fett Man is going to be here, Jeremy Bulloch!! It is only $45 for all three days, for that price you get to see and meet the celebs. But you have to ask the celebs if you can take pics and autographs. We meet the organizer personally and he said he wants to make this con a bigger Star Wars con. So who knows who might show up next year.

It's true. With the exception of the Twi'Lek chick, Jedi's aren't hot at all.

I always have been a Sith person myself as well. The Jedi are nothing but a fake Order of hipocrites who think they know the true power of The Force but they are mistaken.

RESPONCE TO DARTH DRAXIMUS::

Indeed we do get along with the other fangroups of the area. In fact, the Mandalorians held their meeting within the area of our temporary Sith Temple, just behind where we're standing in the last two holo-images. After which, the Sith had a bounty for our merks. heh-heh... Poor Star Tekkies......

Rebel Mika had a table set up for the Rebel Legion just next to ours, we were in direct competition..... but we were not intimidated of coarse, and the Sith attended a party hosted by Jedi Mika the night before. We used our mind control methods on him, but shhhhhhh.... don't tell him. Heh-heh-heh-heh....

I do not feel that we are in competition, nor do I feel any sybling rivalry... at least from my part. As far as I'm concerned, I play the part of a Sith, and do it well. The jests and play poking and antagonizing are fun.... but in the end, all of Uncle Georges people are all in the family.

I personally take that to heart. And so do the council of TDE. We strive to instill that in the group as a whole. We "are not" in any sort of competition with our sister groups. We are with them, we support them. >:~) Speaking for The Dark Empire, "We even encourage cross costuming and direct involvement with the other groups".

We all love Star Wars, we all do the same things, we are all involved in the same things. The only differences being.... some groups are larger than others, (The 501st = WOW!) and we represent different aspects of the same universe.

The most important aspect of all of this..... First and foremost..... We are all family. We are all freinds. I strive to maintain that when I am with other Star Wars costume groups, and from what I have seen, they do like wise.

RESPONSE TO LORD ZANNAH:

That's good to hear! I'm the Ruus'alor (Seargent) of the Florida Clan of the Mercs, and I have to say, for a while we had an absolutely horrible time with the Florida Garrison of the 501st. The leadership at the time was rather elitist. Fortunately, new leadership has supposedly begun to change those attitudes, so things are going much better now. The MMC has always had good relations with the RL and the JA, the 501st is our only case of friction. Ah well.

Have fun with the remaining time!
