12-1-2012 CHOA Televised Christmas Parade

Well folks here is a event/parade that is a annual event the Georgia Garrison has participated in for years now. All of the various groups have a open invitation for the Georgia Garrison CO. I know the Ga.501st will be out in force along with The Rebel Legion, the Mando Mercs have done this parade in the past and now TDE are invited as well to join in on the fun of this parade. Here is copy/paste of the first post /quote from the Ga.Garrison's forums.

I can't think of a better way to spend my birthday. This'll be great for everyone, better if Blood Moon Spire can make it. We'll have 2 Spires representing as well as Yavin 4 Temple.

I will be in it for the Empire. Yavin 4 and B.O.S.S.

We need to get together for prep. We need a T frame to carry temple banner in this and the ConNooga parade. The BOSS banner isn't that big and won't take much for carrying it. Maybe we can come up if we can find a hotel to stay at . We can maybe have an "armor party" then too. Just a suggestion.

Sounds like a plan. I can't think of a better person to be our bannerman than our BOSS Head Honcho, Darth Google.

I posted on Ga Garrison forum about Nihilus, a face character, being there. But after talking with Nikki, we both may wear our SRS outfits to mix in the varity of TDE costumes and then since we have no sabers to carry, we can carry the banners if need be.

One thing I did forget to mention is please state if you would like your name on the attendance list as "Confirmed" or "Tenative" . I will check back about a week out with everyone to see if those listed will be commited to march in the parade. Anyone agree with this or have any other suggestions? Thanks

I have a TDE roster started in 1st post. If I don't have your name listed, post here and we'll get you on the roster to help Andy.

Thank you Lord Knightstalker. I will copy and paste TDE attending list to the Ga.Garrison forums. I will also add TDE membership numbers to our members just to clairfy they are "Official TDE" members.

I would like to on as "Confirmed". Nemis (132) says confirmed too, but I told her she'd have to get on here, unless you can in fact take my word for it.

I have her on the roster. Our roster is listed under the Ga Garrison roster on 1st page.

Greetings Yavin IV members,

The council has looked into a matter about having our members at the parade.

We really enjoy the idea about this parade. But we request that the Officers of Yavin, or someone who would like to take the reigns on this one, submit an application for our group in this parade, and have our "own" showing.

In this way, TDE can show all there glory without Trooping concessions (any of TDE approved costumes may be worn), we can march as our own group, and it will also help the hospital.

I know it may seem strange for the Council to become intricately involved in a Temple organized Troop unbided. However circumstances arose which we seen the need to intervene.


To the Yavin IV members, please trust that council intervention in this one is for the good of Yavin "and" the Empire.

I'm sad to hear of this. I was only trying to have one large group of like minded people with a love for Star Wars to share our love of it with the spectators of the parade. I apologize for any issues I may have caused with this.

Oh my.... please trust me on this one,"You Have Not Caused Any Trouble". Non. Don't think it for one moment.

In fact, none of the members of Yavin nor in fact within the Empire has caused any issues.

Rest easy my Lord, all is well.

And do not be sad. There is nothing to be sad about. It is important that the Empire stands on our own merits. By handling it in this way, the Empire will be much better represented and gain our "own" publicity... and that is "very" important for us right now. We are really coming on strong and now is the time.

When applying for parade entry, there can be a request made to march behind the other Star Wars group. We can be together, yet our "own" entity. It is a simple matter.
