Family Fun Fundraiser and Star Wars Baseball Night

Greetings fellow Sith from my meditation chambers in The Korriban Temple!

On June 23rd the Korriban temple was invited by the Colorado Literacy Foundation to join a Family Fun event and fundraiser alongside the 501st. The event was from 11am to 2 and at PB and Jellies a small shop in down town Colorado Springs that, as the name suggests sells a wide variety of peanut butter and Jelly. Despite the heat there were a lot of people walking down town and stopping by to see what we were all about as we helped raise money for the Colorado Literacy Foundation and promote the store. During the troop I was invited by the 501st to troop with them at SkySox baseball stadium for the fields Star Wars night.

I trooped along side the 501st and Rebel Legion from 4pm when the gates opened, to the end of the game when I went with them out onto the field for one of their skits. Many pictures were taken throughout the night and everyone from troopers to kids had a blast! Sadly though the fireworks that were planed for the event were canceled due to the close proximity of a fire that had been burning since early that morning.

All in all the entire day was a huge suceess!
