Event: Foster Care Appreciation Carnival

Date: March 5th, 2016

Time: 10 am - 3 pm.

*** I've broken this into two shifts (10 am-12:30 pm and 12:30-3 pm) for flexibility and in light of the Food Allergy walk that morning. Parking is pretty tough later though

Event Description: The Foster Care Appreciation Carnival is a really neat annual event that is totally free to foster and adoptive families. Here is a summary of last year's event.

"On March 9, 2015, Grace Walk Community Church and the owners of Enchanted Island Amusement Park partnered with Arizonans for Children to hold a glorious event for foster children and their families. The entire amusement park was open to foster families and at least 25 additional donors contributed food, drinks, games, music, rock climbing, bouncy contraptions and sack races. 1,936 foster children, foster parents and volunteers attended."

Changing Area: Yes.

*** Last year we were in a room inside the park, to the right as you enter.

Water: We are welcome to the same drinks and food as the guests. Previous years had hot dogs, chips, soda, water, etc.

Weapons: They would prefer no weapons that simulate somewhat real looking guns so we'll have to limit ourselves to lightsabers, staffs, riot batons, etc. Wink
