So I'm going to assume we're not getting a table this year.

With only Meeko and I as OM's to man the table, and Tan'Mar as a possible helper, we're a bit short staffed - especially as I'm not sure I can make the Sunday yet (though I'm going to try).

Sorry I am not going to be able to make it.

I'm not sure what the plans are now as far as the ICA is concerned, but we may still have some members going down there for this. Kol, Meeko, or Darth Seron please feel free to put up a thread about this on the ICA. I'm sure whatever help you need we can get for ya

I am hoping to have Dybbuk done for this convention. But I am slated to be at the Mercs table all weekend. But if you guys do get a table, I could always swing by there to help out when I am not needed at the Mercs table. If that will help out any.

As I am having problems getting on the ICA forums, I reached out to the Oregon members of the Jedi Assembly. Between the two groups we can manage the table, IF that is ok. ICA is more than welcome as well!! Just let me know if I need to amend anything on the application.

I will be bringing a brown and red table runner and will be setting up material on both organizations as well as sabers (hopefully Kol can assist with this ) as well as two dress forms, one with a JA Jedi and the other with a TDE approved costume. The TDE banner will either be hanging on a display rod behind the table or attached to the runner. Is this ok for a table display? Let me know if I'm overstepping my bounds.

Hey, that sounds great! I firmly believe in inter-group cooperation, which this sounds like it will be.

The only thing is, we have a policy to never leave a club table unmanned for any length of time at a con or other event. As long as there's always someone there that can answer some questions about the club to people that are interested, that's the most important thing.

As for the display itself, I'd say the banner and printed Press Kits / TDE Flyers (on front page of our website) at a minimum; sounds like you've already got that licked.

Sith Holocrons have become a bit of a club staple at cons, it seems. If you can get your hands on one, that's always a plus! Not necesary, though, of course.

Most of all, have fun! And really, THANKS for repping The Dark Empire!

This will be a great recruiting oppertunity for both groups as well as a fun event. Ill be trying to track down a sith holocron. However I will be looking at eventually picking up one for future use. They really are great table peices and a great idea for cons.
I will ensur the table is staffed at all times by knowledgeable member of both groups and looking forward to a great convention

WW has a strict policy of not leaving a table un-manned. Personally I'm going to be there to work the tables (Our local groups are going to be VERY busy that weekend) since this will be a great opportunity for our locals groups to grow. If we can pull this table off like we did for Orycon, it'll be a huge success.

I am planning on being there all three days, and will be more than willing to bring props (including my holocron) for the table. I've also given the mercs my table support, as I'm hoping to have my mando kit 99% complete. I will be more than happy to help man the TDE table. My only concern from earlier was that we wouldn't have enough members to man it. I've talked to Kibiri and he says he and Kandosii (of ICA) will be unable to make it, as they have another event that weekend in Seattle. But If we have Jedi Assembly support, then we should be able to pull this off. Thanks Meeko for getting in touch with them and making this happen.

we're booth 1005, right next to MM which has 1003, the local 501st and Rebel Legion are just an isle over at 1202 and 1204, so we're all really close to each other.

MEEKo is picking me up after she gets off work and we'll be heading up to set up the table. We'll try to get some pictures taken as we go along.

I'll be there no later than 10 on Friday (carpooling with Jaminos once he comes into Portland) to help both the Merc and TDE booth setup. I'll have sabers, the holocron, and whatever misc items we need for display as well. Glad to know we're so close to eachother! This'll be awesome!

So I have printed up flyers of the press kit in place of business cards, and banners from both sides seem to be a tad bit slow in arriving. In that case dress forms are going to be used behind those sitting at the table to display costumes and draw the eye up and paper information will be displayed at a maximum. I have also printed off the TDE kids activity sheets as well to be handed out. I still have the sabers and I have table runners to add more color to the table.

Kol, your sabers and holocron will be much appreciated!!

once MEEKo has some time outside of recovering from this and ECCC, I'll remind her to post the mission report ^_^ but I can say that it went well enough after the first day
