I was asked to put this up over here by the Mandalorian Mercenary Los Angeles Clan. I know it is short notice but we need a head count as soon as possible.

April 21st, a bunch of Star Wars Costumers are going to visit a lil wheelchair-bound Jedi named Dominic.

Please join us.

Dominic had an idea that we should visit him, and a bunch of other kids, who can't go home because their parents can't handle them, in a special room (which is related to, but not on-site) of the Loma Linda Hospital. (Dominic goes home, his Mom can handle it- but Dom wanted us to go cheer up the medically fragile kids who don't go home. He's a sweetie!)

Any Star Wars costume is welcome!

You do not have to belong to any group or be 'screen accurate.'

A few things:

1. Please don't show up sick! These kids are medically fragile. If you say you are coming and then wake up sick that day, it's OK to flake last minute!

2. BE STRONG. If you can't handle looking at physically challenged children with tubes and wires coming out of them, then perhaps this is not the trip for you. But I promise you, if you can handle it, it will be a wonderful experience!

There may be some kids who cannot speak or move (All or most of the kids are in wheelchairs. They are Quadriplegics) but please keep in mind that the children ARE still in there and can usually process things, even though they may not appear to. Please engage them, even if they don’t respond. Please look around- If there is one child who is alone, maybe sit by him or her and either talk to them or maybe explain, and give a play by play as to what is going on around them, out of their line of vision.
They are there their whole lives until they turn 20, and then they go to an adult living facility.

3. Yes, you may post this to your Star Wars group message boards. All groups welcome. The room holds 130 people!

Shawnee, Dominic’s Mom, says if a Spiderman, Batman, Superman or other superhero wants to show up, that is OK too!

Please reply here if you can attend Saturday, April 21st in costume at the Loma Linda Hospital.

The address is Totally Kids at 1720 Sterling Avenue, Loma Linda.
Our contact there is Pauline Hennessey, and also Dominic’s Mom, Shawnee Cumo.
On this end, you may also contact me (Jennifer Stockert) or Rob Estrada.

Shawnee says there is a room for us to change and they will show us where to make our entrance.
We want to enter at 1pm, so please show up at 12:30pm to change.

These kids do not get to go home, EVER, so they will be so excited to see us!
Hope to see you there.

May The Force be with us!

Saber Guild, another sister group of ours (which I'm also a member of), will be attending this. Many Coruscant Temple members are in Saber Guild, and will be attending (sadly, I will not be).

If you are a Coruscant member and would like to attend, feel free to post here and let 'em know you're coming! Just like the orphanage visit, these are the kinds of troops I love doing, and I'm saddened I won't be able to make this one.

Wish I could go to this Sad I still have a cold though and I'm guessing that would be a terrible idea.

Yeah, that would be a bad thing. These are the best kinds of troops, but we can't afford to even risk exposing the kids to any illnesses; it could be fatal for some of them.
