3.15.13: Portland Winterhawks Annual Mascot Night

Hello gents,

I'd like to invite you to the annual Mascot Night with the Portland Winterhawks on Friday March 15th in the Rose Garden. The mascots will play a game on the ice during the 1st intermission (no skating necessary) and help out with promotions on the concourse. They'll feed everyone on game night (more specifics to follow). Puck drop is 7pm, plan on arriving before 5:30pm. Hope to see you there. OK, it looks like it is business as usual with this event. Winterhawks mascot night next Friday, March 15th. The game will commence at 7pm. We arrive at 5:30 pm. You can park in the Garden Garage entering from Interstate Ave or from Winning Way. Larger groups should carpool. We enter the arena through the west side of the Rose Garden at the loading bay. The address for the loading bay is 100 Drexler drive. There should be one or two Winterhawks interns waiting at the doors to usher you in. There will be dinner and refreshments.

Before and during the game we roam the concourse, posing for pictures with fans.

Take part in the on ice broomball game during the first intermission (Team Tomahawk vs. Team Lincoln who is the Everett Silvertips’ Mascot). Teams will be divided to approximately 10 per side.

Be in the seating bowl during Media timeouts of each period for our dance breaks where we can show off our dance moves and dance with fans.

Finally we can go get dinner afterwards again somewhere, or simply go on home.

Can't wait for this one again, always fun, always a great crowd . . . see you there!

OK, today is the day! I spoke with the Winterhawks last evening and we all definitely ARE going out on the ice during the broomball game and on into the box to cheer the players on so the fans can see us. No cowering behind the scenes this year. If you are going to carpool, meet up at the LLoyd Center in your separate cars and pile in to one vehicle for the short hop to the arena. Be at the arena by 5:30pm to get to our dressing room. If you have any questions, feel free to call my cell at 971.235.5370 today all the way through game time. Looking forward to tonight!

Thank you to all who joined in on the blow out game for the Winterhawks! Fun as usual and many happy and appreciative fans that took boatloads of photos. The food was great and the Winterhawks staff and accomodations were first rate as always. I hope to see you again next year or into the playoffs this year if possible, thanks again!
