Florida Zombicon - emailed trooping request October (19, 20, 21st) 2012

I received the following emailed invitation for us to troop alongside the 501st in Florida. We don't have to have Zombie gear.

I need Lord Knightstalker, or a designated appointee (such as Lord Xanthus, who is in Florida and working on forming a Spire there), to reply to them. I have advised them that one of you will be contacting them shortly. Lord Knightstalker, please get with a Florida member and see if this can be done.

Here is the email:

Hello,

While attending SWCVI we have found your existence. We hold a convention in
October (19, 20, 21st) a charity, 3 day event held by Pushing Daizies Inc, a non
profit for the arts. This seems like a great event for your members to attend,
in costume, ( preferably "death trooper" / zombified versions of their normal
characters) to support the art of costuming, and more. We have also been in
contact with the 501st as many of them are attending as well. We are creating a
special "green room" specifically for 501st and Dark Empire should you decide to
attend 'en mass'. We would ask for your help in leading the Zombie walk on
Saturday night, autograph signings and somewhat of a "crowd control", using your
dark side powers of course. Hotel rooms are offered at a discounted rate and you
would get complimentary weekend passes to our convention and music fest.

We are not only a non profit for the arts but have broken blood donation and
food donations each year! Last year we unofficially broke the Guinness World
Record for largest gatherng of zombies totaling over 20,000 people in
attendance!

Looking forward to speaking with someone from a Florida Chapter soon. thank you

I need one of you, preferably your Jen'ari (Knightstalker) to contact them regarding this asap.

This is a major Yavin IV Temple affair, I will let you guys organize the planning for it. This is one type of invitation to TDE I prefer for us not to turn down.

Please keep me updated on your planning for this, if you are able to.

I'm not sure if we are able at the moment, but I would love to. Is there anybody in general area that can jump on this. I would hate to give them an answer and turn out to be totally opposite of what I tell them.

Interesting, sadly the same time as FF in KW.

Unfortunately Ft. Meyers is a bit of a haul for me.

Frankly I think what they want they are more likely to find in the 501st. Just a fact, if they want a Death Trooper or 2, THAT is where they will be found. Sith Alchemy does create zombies, but I believe they want Death Troopers.

Im interested in going just have to see how my funds are by then.

I'm committed to Sci Fi Con on Oct. 6th, but don't think ill have enough to make 2.

Lord Knightstalker, we need to give them a reply soon to let them know if any of us can attend or not. Since you're the Jen'ari in the area, I recommend contacting them within the next several days to advise them of our status.

although I am not official.........YET I will be attending. Hopefully the combat damaged weapon will be back in this Dark Lord's hands very soon AND THEN THE TRIALS BEGIN! (insert evil laugh)

I got a response from Nikki about ZombieCon;

Yes thank you. We will keep you in mind and I hope you will do the same for us. Although we do not have Cannon costumes both my brother and I, as well as our non profit are supporters of what you stand for and If we can help in any way, we would be happy to. (after Zombicon of course) Please keep us in the loop with any of your peeps that want to attend. When it comes closer to our event we need to make a list of names of those attending. If anyone knows for sure if they are going leading up to the event, please let me know so I can get her to add you to her list. This looks like a very good partnership and I'm sure if we get some of us in there with our custom sith/dark Jedi , then we might have 2 more members.
