How to join The Dark Empire

Interested in possibly joining TDE?

Simply log onto our forums and introduce yourself in the "Roll Call" section! Your membership on the forums may need to be approved first before you can sign in. You must be at least 18 years of age to register on our forums. Minors aged 13-17 may join our forums, however, will require parental approval and assistance from a Council Member before forum registration can be completed.

For assistance, contact us via email TDEcostumeclub@aol.com

To obtain Full Membership within the organization, you must at be least eighteen years of age and have an approved costume that meets our costuming standards. See our Charter for information on becoming an Official Member of TDE.

If you are ready to submit a costume for full membership, you can enter The Dark Trials

i dont know if ill be around, but if i am i offer my services, and im sure we could speak to them about events we could have such as star wars instruction and or armor building techniques... or perhaps a game im working on with the council

SPR, some quick and friendly advice. - Make sure you have enough people ready and willing to staff a table for the duration of the con, before you secure one. Our group policy is that a table never gets left unmanned. Once you get a table, you will want to create a sign-up roster on the forums for table-duty in two-hour increments.

i think the going rate for a table is like 300 bucks for this even O.o...

Fan tables at conventions usually don't cost money. If they charge for a fan table, then it is not worth it. The big convention circuits like Comic-Con (Wonder Con and SDCC) and Wizard World do not charge fan groups to have a table, for example.

yea these are all really small cons, so they dont make enough via ticket sales to pay guests, or they are trying to make a buck... but thats also why we are all organizing down here to talk abaout teh con scene cause all the groups know its messed up.

It's been said (from chatter in the local nerd culture groups.... mayhem you'd know if you'd been around the last cosplay meeting) that the quality of the cons in this area would improve if the staff would cooperate a little better. For some reason they all decided to fragment and 'do it better' from what I gathered. silent

Beats me, I just got to this area, but it is nice to know con politics.
