Event Report, Kansas City Zoo Yowl and Howl.

A few weeks ago, Darth Immora and I invaded the Kansas City Zoo as part of their Hoots and Howls events all this month. The weekend was advertised as Star Wars weekend and the costume groups of Missouri and Kansas did not disappoint with 26 costumed characters on Saturday and more than a dozen on Sunday. This was the first time we attended this event and will make sure we go back. Most of the membership are also part of the 149th War Wolves group that was founded to sponsor a fun and accepting environment for all Star Wars costumers.

Perhaps my favorite pic of the day, This little girl was afraid of me in full character so Lord Baal broke character and removed his mask. After a bit of coaxing and showing her I was not as scary as she first thought, she posed for pictures and then told me to put my scary man back on. Then she posed in full character and told me that she liked me now. I think everyone kind of melted some at that one.

It's apparant that this was an absolute fun time! And that last photo.... oh my.

Perhaps we can get a group pic of the Kansas and Missouri sith groups at PCC 2012. (lets us grow in numbers so we have an awesome shot)

Definitely, I should be fully finsihed by the beginning of the year, hope to get the cloth for my cape this weekend....

End of the year?! whats the hold up? LOL JK, I'm sure it will come out great because you are not rushing it. I had a lot of mine already made from before, so it was not too hard to finish fast.
