I have a table in Artist Alley and am judging the costume contest. I will be bouncing around but will try to help out

For FanFest, we will have a booth and a changing/storage area. We don't have any planned activities, events, or panels at this time. Any requests for extra activities will be posted in a new thread if/when they come in.

Booth:
The booth (black box labelled "A") is circled in the layout map below. The booth will be a couple of tables and a few backdrops. We are doing easy setup this year to try to avoid the loading dock, since it may be a bit hectic on Friday. As a result, minimal hands will be needed for the actual setup, since it will basically be some of our printed backdrops and stands. The 2 tables will be shared by all of the groups for display of info. There will be a few chairs behind the tables. If you are using those chairs, you are expected to be working the tables. We are not coordinating sign-up sheets across the groups for table duty.

DO NOT camp out at the tables and socialize if you are not prepared to talk to the public. Anyone who approaches the table looking for info takes precedence over your conversation.

Changing/Storage:
To the right of the box labelled "A" on the map, you will see a pink rectangle of the same dimensions. It is a curtained off area for us to use for storage and changing. There is no door, so it will not be locked. Also note that our storage/changing area is only the space behind our booth. The other pink rectangles are the storage/changing for the other costuming groups. Please be respectful of their space. Please be respectful of everyone in the Star Wars groups that may be trying to use this space as well. It may get a little cramped in there. DO NOT spread out your belongings. Please try to maintain a small footprint and be prepared to stack trunks/tubs to accomodate others.

Badges:
You will need to purchase your own badge for access to the convention floor.

I will have a very limited number of badges available for early access to the convention floor. If you get to the convention before the exhibit hall opens, I may be able to get you in, but I cannot guarantee it. I will go by first come, first served each day. I expect to get the exhibit hall badge back after the doors open OR after you finish changing. Once again, be mindful that others be looking to get into the changing area. So, if you get changed early, please be prepared to leave exhibitor floor and swap the badge to someone else. DO NOT contact me for a badge for early entry if you are not changing into costume at the start of the convention day.

There is a general Star Wars Costume & Photo Op Meetup planned for 11-11:30 am on Saturday, in 227A North Meetups.

This is a general meetup for the public, without any requirements on our attendance.  These types of meetups have been planned for the past 2 PCCs without our involvement, which have led to missed recruiting opportunities.  It would be great to have some representation there to discuss what we do and to direct people to our booth for more information.

We aren't doing signups for table duty, since we really only need 1 person at any given point in time (although more are certainly welcome). So, there's no specific times that are needed. Just stop by or fill in whenever you want.

Note the table duty began back in August. Well before we had decided the tables would be merged
