You must be at least 18 years of age to register on our forums. Minors aged 13-17 may join our forums, however, will require parental approval and assistance from a Council Member before forum registration can be completed.

To obtain Full Membership within the organization, you must at be least eighteen years of age and have an approved costume that meets our costuming standards. See our Charter for information on becoming an Official Member of TDE.

Time: 12:00pm - 4:00pm (event is from 10:00am - 6:00pm)
Location: Historic Avondale Western Ave. 410 E. Western Ave., Avondale, AZ 85323
Parking: Parking is Free. Parking is at 530 E. Riley Dr. which is Agua Fria High School. We have a free shuttle that will bring you from there to Western Ave.
Event Description: "They’ve served and sacrificed for us. Now it’s time for us to show our appreciation of Arizona’s Veterans. Please join Historic Avondale Merchants Association (HAMA) and American Legion Post 61 on Saturday, October 29th, 2016 for VETFest, a day of honoring and celebrating our veterans. We’ll take over Avondale’s Western Avenue and fill it with booths featuring veteran-created art as well as local artists and crafters.
Why art? Art therapy often plays an important role when our veterans return from combat. VETFest provides them a venue for showcasing their creative achievements. In addition, this family friendly event will include a Veterans’ recognition ceremony, a flag retirement ceremony, a motorcycle show, school art contest, food and entertainment. All proceeds will benefit Post 61’s charitable Veteran programs."
NOTE: " I envision your role as street performers walking around and visiting with patrons and vendors, maybe some "reenactments", a lot of selfies. There is a motorcycle show and parade so maybe participating in the parade."
