Pop Con LA July 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th 2012

A good friend of mine in the Mercs has invited us along to this convention. Here is their website:

Here is part of the message I got from my pal Kaden'dha Runi:

The organizer's name is Frank and he is looking for some Star Wars groups to occupy fan tables. His email is [Only admins are allowed to see this link] He's a decent guy and it looks like this could be a fun event. Dark Empire should be there with the Mercs.

I replied that I would put this in our forums here, and see if there is an interest in this. It is a four-day con. SDCC is also in July; I won't be attending SDCC, and probably wont be doing this con, either. My focus right now is getting a return troop to Hillsides arranged, rather than a con.

Still, if there is enough interest in this con across the Temple, perhaps our new Jen'ari would be willing to help organize something. I have the Temple banner and table props ready to go at any time, should we have an event like this.

I have not emailed Frank yet. If there is enough interest to cover a table for this 4-day event, then I will email him. It looks to me that we would need a minimum of about 8 people to commit to this, to keep the table sufficiently staffed for the duration of the event. If you think you would like to troop this, please post here. I will not be at this one.
